Book of One Hundred Truths by Julie Schumacher
Thea's summer assignment
is to write four truths a day in the notebook her mother gives her. While
staying in a house crowded with family, Thea finds it difficult to write since
her cousin Jocelyn won't leave her alone. That, and she's also a self-admitted
liar. And there's the matter of the secret she is keeping about why Gwen is no
longer her best friend. One afternoon on the Jersey Boardwalk, Thea discovers
that she's not the only one in the family keeping secrets. The events that
follow lead Thea to have to confront some hard truths about herself and help
those around her deal with their own secrets. Part mystery, part coming-of-age
story, The Book of One Hundred Truths is a quick and easy read for those
who like a mystery intertwined with a good story.
