Three Times Lucky

Three Times Lucky by Shelia Turnage

Mo LoBeau has her summer all planned out: hanging with her best friend Dale, crushing on his older brother Lavender, steering clear of her arch enemy Anna Celeste, and helping out in the café with her adoptive parents, the Colonel and Miss Lana. But her plans go awry when a dead body, a kidnapping, and the hurricane get in the way. This story has a great character in Mo. She’s just the kind of kid I’d want to hang out with…smart, tough, and adventurous. She’s also loyal to a fault. Even when her family is threatened, Mo does not back down. She goes to the wall to help the people of Tupelo, who took her in and replaced the mother she still hopes to one day find.

Mo's story continues in Ghosts of Tueplo Landing, where Mo and Dale are ghost-hunting in the old Inn that Miss Lana purchases for renovation. Can Mo solve the mystery of the ghost-girl's death and free her spirit?
